Wow, two weeks without a post. Sorry about that. I'm just too tired, most days, to blog after work, and on the weekends there are other activities. I'm trying to spend one evening a week together with Rocket Boy, and that almost always ends up being Saturday, because Monday-Friday I'm too tired and Sunday I'm too nervous about the coming week. Plus usually too tired as well. So Saturday is my one good evening, but if I'm spending it with RB, I don't have time to write a blog post.
"Spending an evening together" mostly means watching a movie we've rented from the Video Station. Or, if we haven't got a movie, we might watch something on TV. We can't afford to get a babysitter more than a few times a year, and even if we decide we can afford a babysitter, we can't afford to do anything with our "free" time except have a not-too-expensive dinner.
I'm not complaining (much). Watching a movie on the couch together is a pleasant activity. It's kind of amazing how hard it is to get ourselves to do even that, though. Most of the time I'd really rather be either (1) messing around on the computer or (2) reading in bed. It's not that I don't enjoy my husband's company anymore, it's that I have so little opportunity to do my own stuff that I'm going crazy for lack of "me" time. For example, the Amazon breakthrough novel award competition just opened today, and it doesn't look like I'm going to enter. I'd like to -- I have a couple of novels that I've entered before. But I should tinker with them a bit before submitting either one, and there just isn't any time for tinkering. Nor has there been any time for tinkering since we moved back to Boulder last May. I don't write anymore, and it kills me.

Meanwhile, this has been a pleasant long weekend so far, and I get one more day of it. One more day to take the boos to the park. I forgot my camera on today's park trip, so I'll include a couple of photos from a week or two ago.
It doesn't look anything like this here now, all our snow is gone for the moment. But the smiles are the same.

Hey! Thanks for the post. After 10 days or so without a peep From you, I attempted to send a couple of "where are you" comments, but neither went through. Next time you go missing, Can i call you at the office to complain.? Or Better still, I could send my complaint through to your fax machine at the office! :-). Really enjoy your blog.
If you call me at my office, you will very likely be redirected to Fresno, or Atlanta, or Kansas City, though of course there are very nice CSRs in all those offices too, and if you send something to the fax machine, of course it won't go through! I don't know why the blog is rejecting comments (maybe it's feeling grouchy too), but I sure appreciate you trying. And I'll try not to disappear for so long again...
